NEGATIVITY, A CATALYST TO ADVERSITY

A Message to the Human race:
As humans, we could be good or bad. We all have bad habits that are ruining our lives. However, it is important to look within ourselves constantly to get rid of some toxic behaviors. These habits may seem harmless but they have detrimental effects in the long run. Thus, when detected, urgent steps are required so it wouldn’t be a hindrance to the achievement of goals and purpose in life. This is by way of cutting off the bad habits that could sabotage progress.
Why is no one safe free of your critiques? Not even your near and dear ones, nor your leaders, teachers, preachers, friends, siblings, colleagues, roommates or children – no one! Your pointing fingers spare no one. Why do you keep complaining about everything and everyone; irrespective of what happens or what they do? You find it difficult to always see the positive side of situations because you allow backbiting to become a constant part of your life, simply because you are stuck in a rot and shackled to destructive emotions and thoughts.
This negativity in you has affected your thinking. It has made you care only for what would satisfy you and never bothered about others, irrespective of their condition and the problems they are encountering. You find it difficult to admit that you could be wrong too, or that you made a mistake; even if everyone else points out your mistake, you either defend yourselves to the end or storm out. You get swayed easily by rumors or hearsay and harbor ethnic or racial prejudices for no apparent reason. Sadly, the negativity effects allow you to undermine your own talents and abilities as well.
Be reminded that, the ability to be the positivity you want to see in the world is by desisting from criticisms every time, backbiting, long-term grudges against others and ensuring as well as being positive towards making the world a better place is the foundation of a worthy living.
Hence, the first and critical solution is to acknowledge the negativity, accept it, and let it pass through your consciousness, thereby teaching you a lesson but not ruining your day. This cycle is all part of the human experience, and we can only develop from the negatives when we accept them and learn from them. We should also strive very hard in resolving differences with people; control our hands and tongues, as well as expressing gratitude to others, being kind, gentle, and caring.
It isn’t easy to remain positive when negativity surrounds you, but remember that you have full control of your attitude, beware that every time you subtract negativity from your life, you make room for more positivity. More importantly, pray to God for his guidance and as he would surely assist you.
